Our Method

Open thinking. Rigorous choices. Tangible progress.

The environment creates distance from everyday distractions. The working method turns that distance into useful strategic options and practical business decisions.

AI can generate answers… Experience helps uncover the questions that matter.

AI can generate answers in seconds… But the greatest breakthroughs often begin with questions nobody thought to ask. It involves discovering the actual problem, challenging comfortable assumptions, recognizing opportunities that don’t fit established patterns, understanding the human dynamics of an organization, and making commercially sound decisions under uncertainty. Decades of experience across industries allow us to connect seemingly unrelated situations. A commercialization challenge in medical technology might reveal similarities to enterprise software adoption, consumer technology distribution, or infrastructure financing. The opportunity may be to challenge the business model itself—not simply optimize the existing one. Proven problem-solving is not simply recognizing what worked before. It is understanding why it worked, whether the circumstances are comparable, and when a different approach is necessary. Consequential business decisions require more than a well-crafted AI prompt and a plausible answer.

We don’t arrive with a predetermined playbook or a set of generic recommendations. We engage directly with the people who know their business, asking the difficult questions, testing competing explanations, and identifying opportunities that may have been hiding in plain sight. Our experience across industries, technologies, cultures, and international markets provides a broad foundation for exploring those possibilities. We combine analytical discipline with creative ideation, independent judgment, and practical commercial experience. The objective is not to produce more ideas. It is to discover better opportunities, make informed strategic choices, and determine how to act on them.

Give us your strategic challenges; we’ll conduct the research and prepare a meeting that will guide you -and your team- through a creative, critical, divergent thinking process that will deliver meaningful results. Leave with a new vision, new product or service ideas, a solution, or just a path forward.

Two time-away formats.

Two focused ways to step outside daily operations and address the challenges that demand your best thinking. Formats are designed around the issue and participants, not the other way around. There is no team-building theater, rigid curriculum or mandatory recreation. The setting offers room to think, including optional outdoor sessions and time to recharge. Preparation, facilitation, working rhythm, evidence evaluation and follow-through belong to Our Method.

CEO Horizon – 3 days

For a CEO or founder who wants a knowledgeable, independent counterpart to evaluate a consequential challenge—without internal agendas or operational interruptions.

We may examine a stalled launch, a competitive threat, a new business model, an unexpected acquisition opportunity, a difficult operational constraint or the next phase of international expansion. One issue can lead to another; the aim is to find the choices that matter.

Target result: a reframed challenge, tested options, priority decisions and concrete next steps.

Strategic Team Renewal – 3-5 days

For a CEO who needs to reexamine several connected strategic questions and, if useful, bring a few key decision-makers into the process.

We integrate product, customer, financial, operational and market perspectives; develop credible choices; and leave with a practical way forward. A small specialist group may join targeted discussions where domain expertise would change the quality of the decision.

Target result: strategic priorities, differentiated options, investment and trade-off decisions, named owners and a 90-day execution agenda.

Five stages. No canned playbook.

Proven problem-solving is not simply recognizing what worked before. It is understanding why it worked, whether the circumstances are comparable, and when a different approach is necessary.

Pause

Confidential discovery before arrival. Review the business context and relevant product, market, customer, financial and operational data. Agree where decisions are needed and who must participate.

Diagnose

Examine assumptions, gaps in evidence, competitive realities, internal constraints and the economics of the problem. Distinguish symptoms from root causes.

Explore

Generate and challenge options, adjacencies, cross-industry analogies, innovation paths and counterfactuals. Work through alternative scenarios, including uncomfortable ones.

Decide

Evaluate impact, feasibility, cost, timing, risk, organizational readiness and strategic coherence. Capture trade-offs, rejected options and unresolved assumptions.

Execute

Translate choices into a short list of initiatives, accountable owners, evidence requirements, decision gates and a 90-day review rhythm. Additional advisory can be scoped separately if valuable.

The sessions can be facilitated in English, Dutch, French and German.

Accommodations, travel and optional activities are individually arranged and separately scoped.
