San Clemente, CA – May 17, 2016 – CAD REBEL™ Tensei LLC today announced the availability of Civil Site Design V17 for following platforms:
- BricsCAD V16 (64 bit only)
- AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 to 2017
- AutoCAD 2012 to 2017
Civil Site Design V17 has the following new features and enhancements:
Template Editor – Interface Improvements
Over the coming releases of Civil Site Design, we will be working on revamping the user interface to enhance the user-friendly experience. We have started by revamping the Template Editor dialog by adding new images which will change as users hover over an input field.

It is common for designers and draftspersons to want each row of cross sections to align on their sheets. The typical default behaviour of the software is to set a certain distance between each cross section plot, per column, measured from the highest section elevation of each section to the bottom of the band of the next section. In this release, the control for setting a fixed height between rows is now managed from the Basic Settings control.

Users now have the ability to grade from one IP (PVI) to a previous IP (PVI) using the Grid Editor. The Grid Editor also lets you change vertical curves, elevations and elevation differences quickly and easily, or one or more IP’s at once.

Model Viewer now contains tools to show line marking. In this first version of the command, users can apply line marking from an alingment by specifying a line marking style, a chainage range and an offset distance. Line marking can also be generated by using the sight distance analysis tools available in Model Viewer.

A new object known as a ‘Cut-out’ has been added to Model Viewer. These objects are very lightweight and are great for displaying features such as trees. A cut-out is simply a PNG image filewith transparency and is added to Model Viewer on a single plane. This plane will rotate as the user rotates the camera to give the impression of being 3d. Using these objects, the user can quickly import 100’s of trees over a model.

Civil Site Design is a civil engineering solution that provides comprehensive road and subdivision design and simulation functionality, directly inside your CAD environment.
From single roads with intersections and cul-de-sacs to large, complex subdivision and highway network projects, Civil Site Design provides you all the tools for surface/contour modelling, alignment design, and dynamic site grading. Unlike other civil solutions, channel, sewer, pipe, conduit, and inner-duct networks can be linked directly to a road alignment (e.g. centerline or edge of pavement). When the placement changes vertically or horizontally, your entire design updates automatically. Output section and profile sheets, stakeout points, volume reports and more, directly into your drawing environment, customized to suit local drafting standards. Civil Site Design can also be used for other development projects such as wetlands and lot grading.
Civil Site Design runs on BricsCAD, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
